Thin pieces of shell are hand-cut into precise shapes (leaves, petals, geometric forms) and set individually into a base material, traditionally bone or wood. Mother of pearl is combined with resin-filled details, adding colour and depth to the natural iridescence of the shell. The result is a surface that catches light from every angle, with each piece varying slightly due to the handmade nature of the process.
