Mother of Pearl Inlay
$0
Mother of pearl — nacre — is the luminous inner lining of the shell, layered by nature over years into a surface no two pieces of which are ever alike. In our ateliers, artisans cut, shape, and hand-set each fragment individually, a slow mosaic of shell laid piece by piece until the surface shimmers as one.
The craft of shell inlay is among the oldest decorative arts known — practised for over four thousand years, from the courts of ancient Mesopotamia to the palaces of the Mughal era, and passed down through generations of master inlayers ever since. Our shells are responsibly sourced as a natural byproduct of the pearl and food industries, so nothing is taken from the sea for ornament alone.
What it brings to a space is quiet transformation. Mother of pearl doesn't demand light; it gathers it — shifting from silver to rose to sea-green as the day moves. Placed on a vanity, a console, or a bedside table, it lends a room the soft radiance of something rare, made by hand, and meant to be kept.
We prioritize quality in selecting the materials for our items, choosing premium fabrics and finishings that ensure durability, comfort, and timeless appeal.
We strive to process and ship all orders in a timely manner, working diligently to ensure that your items are on their way to you as soon as possible.
